Everclear On The O’Reilly Factor

After watching the interview of Art Alexakis, the lead singer of Everclear, on the O’Reilly Factor, I was very disappointed. I have always enjoyed listening to Everclear and have always liked their music. O’Reilly confronted Alexakis about one of their new music videos, where Jesus is clearly portrayed in ways that are obviously meant to offend millions of people. Alexakis had no clear answers to O’Reilly’s questions and he came off very arrogant and un-educated. Like Madonna and her mock crucifixions on stage, Everclear let their fame get the best of them. Fame does not mean you understand the truth of religion. Madonna and Everclear both assume they know what Christianity is. The same religion that has brought billions of people throughout history to their knees. The same religion that has caused wars and bloodshed. Both Madonna and Everclear have used Jesus as a publicity stunt. They may have fooled some people, but have offended millions. You can watch the clip of Art Alexakis on the O’Reilly Factor here:
